We met (from a distance) a young student, named Penelope during our school visits this week. She is scared of dogs, so she listened to Lockie’s story from a desk 10m away. At the end of the presentation she gave me this precious drawing of Lockie and her accompanying story. She told me all about her drawing and pointed out the butterfly on Lockie’s nose.
There were paper hot air balloons hanging from the ceiling in the space we were in. Check out Lockie in the top right corner in her very own balloon. Sometimes children surprise you and touch your heart and sometimes a large Golden Retriever can melt a child’s heart and give her a little bit of courage. As she was leaving, Penelope was brave enough to venture 1m from Lockie and wore her sticker proudly.
Thank you for the drawing, Penelope, we love it!
