It was by chance that I met Councillor Catherine Lezer last year, and in doing so, I was fortunate enough to meet her sister, Alaina Watts and mum, Robin Lezer. It just so happened that Alaina and I had something in common, we’d both written and published a children’s picture book. That’s no mean feat, let me tell you!

Fast forward to yesterday, and the four of us had lunch together to chat about the highs and lows of promoting books. As first time authors, it’s been a steep learning curve!

Thanks for organising the lunch, Catherine. You’ve been a huge support to me and great cheerleader for both me and Alaina. Oh, I forgot to mention, Robin illustrated Alaina’s book, (What a talented family!) ‘Bath Ballerina’ and the pictures are beautiful! The book is an absolute delight and little ones will love it.

And what was Lockie doing while I was enjoying myself at lunch? Well, she was having a rest at home, using her new bed as a very expensive back rest. Oh Lockie!
