Lockie Takes The Stage

2 May 2025

Today’s story comes from the ‘I can’t believe that happened!’ file. This is Lockie on the stage at the Perth Town Hall, yes, really! We were at the Town Hall on Tuesday and I politely asked the lovely Nicolette at the front desk if I could take a photo of my dog in the Art Deco exhibition in the lower foyer. To our delight, she asked if we’d also like a photo on the stage in the Main Hall. Lockie, being the Diva that she is, jumped at the chance! So we found ourselves on the stage with the very talented Luis Ribeiro as he was setting up for the ‘Holly Wood Tuesday Morning Show’. (Held every Tuesday from 11am - 12noon) Luis was preparing to play the piano with Adam Hall and the Juke Joint Band. The Main Hall is beautiful, and boasts a jarrah hammer-beam ceiling. The Town Hall was built in 1870 and is the only town hall in the world built by convicts. Amazing! Thank you Nicolette and the Town Hall management for your generosity in allowing Lockie and I to experience being on the stage at this wonderful venue. We even have the photos to prove that it did actually happen!
