Lockie and the Mystery Tree

This is one of those photos where it looks better if you were there! Lockie and I walk past this tree most days and I thought it was a Jacaranda. You can imagine my surprise when I saw the orange flowers on it today. If my research is correct it is a Delonix regia or Royal Poinciana, who knew? Not me. Google said it’s also called a Flame Tree.

Is this what Cold Chisel has been singing about? I didn’t think so, but maybe.
