It’s the 1st of September and not only is it the start of Spring, it’s also ‘Wattle Day’.

The day honours the Golden Wattle that symbolises Australian unity, resilience and natural beauty. Our sporting colours of green and gold were inspired by the vibrant colours of our national floral emblem.

Lockie and I were on the lookout for some flowering Wattle on our walk this morning. We finally found some beautiful specimens this afternoon on the nature strip near the freeway.
