Before we moved to the city, friends (who clearly didn’t know me very well) would ask, “won’t you miss the garden?” My answer would always be, “I won’t miss the garden-ing!” Not having to look after a garden was very appealing.

Perth city has many gardens and flower boxes to enjoy. Lockie and I walked to the Murray Street Mall this morning to prove that point, and right on cue, a City of Perth vehicle loaded with potted flowers and a water tank stopped next to us. There you have it, we have the prettiest gardens and the greenest lawns without doing any work.

I forgot to mention Lockie had a roll on the grass at Supreme Court Gardens on our way while the lawn was being mowed. Gotta love living in the city!
