As you probably know, I wrote a picture book, with local artist Rina Bhabra, about my dog, Lockie and the city where we live.

It’s a tough gig, promoting it and making sure people know about it. Sometimes it seems all too hard!

As we start the new year, I want to acknowledge some very special people from the City of Perth, who took it upon themselves to support us, and became some of our biggest champions along the way.

Brett, Donna, Keisha, Grace and Scott have all been very supportive in so many ways. (I had to feature a couple of your wonderful photos, Scott.)

Most of all thank you to Councillor Catherine Lezer for believing in me and Lockie, and our book.

So many more people know about the Famous City Dog because of you.
