We have some beautiful buildings in our city.

Lockie and I discovered the Moana building in the Hay Street Mall. Originally the Moana Chambers, it opened in 1908 housing offices, a dining room and a cafe. It has had various uses over the years and it’s interesting to read its history and view the variety of artefacts and photos in the display cabinet in foyer of the building (open to the public).

The ground floor was shoe shop, ‘Ezy Walkin’ for over 30 years. (So great that the sign has survived all this time!)

The upper floor is now known as Moana Hall and is an exquisite venue available to hire.
